Military Family Support
Veterans become homeless for many reasons, such as the bad economy, unemployment, family breakup, and absence of social support. Additionally, alcoholism and other addictions, finance mismanagement, insufficient affordable housing also adds to this problem. All of these issues lack at some point the kind of social services that are necessary to help them recover from these conditions. A report found, that only 13 percent of veterans strongly agreed their transitions home were going well. However, those veterans who had participated in service opportunities since arriving home had smoother transitions than those who had not. Families Across America, is ready to improve the living conditions of veterans who are unstable, hungry and have no place to turn. We are dedicated to help veterans transform from the shock of active duty in wars, to a place of comfort and confidence at home. Sometimes its hard to just fit in as usual with the family after having spent a year or more living in foxholes and dodging bullets from enemy attacks. It is not easy witnessing fallen army mates everyday for such a long time. Families Across America has a transitional living program that provides humanitarian services to veterans who have served our country and need personal guidance back into everyday living at home through our outreach Family Wellness programs. This military family service is a companion program with H.O.M.E. Inc. providing assistance for temporary full-service transitional housing facility for veterans who meet the criteria for receiving emergency assistance.
In most cases, our nations brave defenders are young men and women who trained for military living before they have learned how to live civilian life as a husband, father, or otherwise family member in their society. Families Across America reach out to them upon their return home, with particular transitional life coaches that would basically guide them in ways of spiritual development, family relationships, financial literacy, and career management. By serving veterans who are out of balance with family life, and associating with a host of human services organizations, uniquely make us capable to lead the effort that restores normal living, housing, and access to other social services for strengthening military families in a confident and comfortable feel-at-home setting.
